Mentoring & Peer Coaching Network
An organisation-wide mentoring and peer-coaching network, built to give colleagues a real, accessible route to personal and professional development.

The Challenge
Colleagues across the organisation needed accessible ways to build confidence and develop professionally beyond formal training days — but there was no structured peer support mechanism to help them do it.
My Role
I established an organisation-wide mentoring and peer-to-peer coaching network, securing £100k of funding to support it, and have personally managed and mentored colleagues within it — several of whom have since achieved promotions.
My coaching practice is grounded in a Diploma in Transformative Coaching (2024) and my standing as a senior practitioner coach with the European Council for Coaching and Mentoring, alongside ongoing peer support volunteering with Mind.
My Approach
A structure that makes space for real conversations.
Identify the Need
Recognised a gap between formal training and the kind of ongoing, personal support that actually builds confidence.
Secure Funding & Sponsorship
Made the case for £100k of funding to establish the network properly, rather than as an informal side project.
Design the Framework
Built a mentoring and peer-coaching structure grounded in coaching methodology, not just informal buddy pairings.
Launch & Recruit
Opened the network to the organisation and recruited participants across teams and levels.
Support & Sustain
Continue to manage and mentor colleagues within the network on an ongoing basis.
The Impact
The network now supports more than 200 participants with personal and professional development, and several mentees have gone on to achieve promotions.
What I Learned
Coaching and mentoring at scale is different from one-to-one practice — it's as much about designing a sustainable structure as it is about the conversations themselves.
Watching participants grow in confidence, and go on to be promoted, has been some of the most rewarding evidence I have that people-centred development approaches genuinely work.
