The Project
English teaching and coaching to learners based in Ukraine. ENGin is a global nonprofit that pairs volunteers with Ukrainians of all ages for regular online conversation practice, combining English with cultural exchange, mentorship and friendship.
My Contribution
Provided English teaching and coaching to learners in Ukraine through regular online sessions, using conversation — rather than a textbook — as the way to build fluency and confidence.
Why It Works
Progress comes from showing up consistently and making it safe to speak. The weekly format gives learners a dependable space to practise, and the cultural exchange keeps the conversation two-way — which is what makes it feel like a relationship rather than a lesson.
